The team behind Honda's popular 'Hands' video (over 10 million views and two awards) has come up with a new ad campaign to welcome the Honda Civic Tourer to the UK. Titled 'Inner Beauty', the campaign celebrates the idea that beauty is about much more than what appears on the surface. Appropriate for a wagon with 624 litres of space and true for humans, too.
In the ad, we are taken on a journey through various objects, including a golf ball, suitcase, chest of drawers and a guitar amp, to reveal the inner beauty of each. Not forgetting the Civic Tourer, of course. The wagon version of the latest Euro Civic packs in secret storage compartments, concealed door handles and Honda's unique 'Magic Seats', besides those 624 litres (up to window line, 1,668 litres up to roof line).
Designed and developed in Europe, the British-built Civic Tourer is available with a 1.6 i-DTEC engine from Honda's Earth Dreams Technology range, providing 74.3 mpg (26.3 km/l) and CO2 emissions from just 99 g/km. The new Civic Tourer is also the world's first production car to feature a Rear Adaptive Damper System, which you can read all about here.
The Civic Tourer, which will race in the BTCC this year, arrives in UK dealerships this month, with OTR prices starting from £20,265 (RM109,919) for the 1.8 i-VTEC S variant. Perhaps a few units will pop up here in the future via the grey import route, who knows?
