Here's an early glimpse at the new Citroen C4 Cactus, the production version of the last year's Frankfurt concept of the same name. These leaked photos have emerged online before the radical crossover's official reveal tomorrow. As you can see, it looks very much like the earlier concept. Now this is how it should be done, Subaru.

All the prominent features of the concept – the split headlamps, 'floating' roof, upswept C-pillar, flat-dish wheels and 3D-effect rear lights – have been kept intact. Even bigger news is the inclusion of the show car's Airbumps, essentially impact-absorbing soft air capsules to protect the body against minor bumps scratches.

The interior is as radical as the exterior. In here, you get a bench-style front seats and a minimalist dashboard with two LCD screens – one for the speedometer and the other an all-inclusive touch-screen multimedia display. Particularly interesting are the button-type gear selector and aircraft-style handbrake lever.

It's hard to judge the vehicle's actual size from these pictures, but the similarly proportioned concept measured 4,210 mm-long. That's about the same as the Peugeot 2008 that has been launched here. Intrigued? We will have full details of the car very soon, so stay tuned.
