Here are some spyshots of the 2014 BMW X5 M, the upcoming performance flagship for the just launched third-generation F15 BMW X5.
When it is launched, this car will succeed the E70 X5 M, which broke new ground for the M division in many ways when it surfaced in 2009. Together with the X6 M, original X5 M was the first AWD M car, the first M car to be fitted with a torque converter automatic and the first to feature a twin-turbo V8, too.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand, which looks to have unique front and rear bumpers, larger brakes, quad exhaust outlets, and fatter tyres compared to the standard F15 X5.
What's special though, will be under the skin - will the next X5 M have more power and speed than the outgoing car, which is no fat slouch with 555 hp, 680 Nm and a 0-100 km/h time of 4.7 seconds. Click here to read all about the E70 X5 M, and here for a comprehensive view at the new F15 X5.
