The 2015 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix is about to get a lot hotter than it already is as the ladies from Girls' Generation go Annyeonghaseyo! The eight-member Kpop sensation has been confirmed as one of the many acts that will headline the post-race concert in Sepang on March 29.
Colloquially known as So Nyeo Shi Dae, or SNSD, the group was formed in 2007 with nine members made up of Kim Tae-yeon (Taeyeon), Lee Soon-kyu (Sunny), Hwang Mi-young (Tiffany), Kim Hyo-yeon (Hyoyeon), Kwon Yuri (Yuri), Choi Soo-young (Sooyoung), Im Poona (Yoona), Seo Ju-hyun (Seohyun) and Jung Soo-yeon (Jessica) - the latter left in 2014.
The announcement was made after the initial post-race concert performance by Lenny Kravitz was cancelled. The American singer-songwriter pulled the plug on his Asian tour which included Sepang as one of the stops. This will be the group's second performance in Malaysia after its stage debut back in 2012.

To be held at the Helipad in Sepang, the post-race concert has also been scheduled to begin earlier with doors now opening at 4.30 pm, the main act beginning an hour later and the performance ending at 8 pm. Past headline acts from previous years include Calvin Harris in 2014 and Guns N' Roses in 2013.
Access to the concert as well as the F1 Carnival is granted to all ticket holders. Prices begin at RM80 for the Hillstand tickets and top out at RM1,770 for tickets to the Main Grandstand. For the free practice session on Friday (March 27), access is free to all seating zones.
Tickets to the 2015 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix can be purchased online from the official website of the Sepang Internation Circuit (SIC), the SIC booth on the ground floor in NU Sentral, tickets agents and the SIC ticket hotline at 03-8778 2222.
