This is perhaps even more unlikely than the Mazda 2 Coupe visualised by rendering guru Theophilus Chin - but it's all in estate of mind.
Theo has bestowed the shapely Mazda 2 Sedan - the unveiling of which we brought to you live from the 2014 Thai Motor Expo over the weekend - with a rather coherent wagon body, replete with shark's fin antenna and a 'floating' roof courtesy of blacked-out pillars.
The Kodo design language is often said to work better on longer cars, and while this Mazda 2 Wagon will not avoid looking frumpy next to big sister Mazda 6, the elongated roof goes some way towards resolving its silhouette.
Of course, the idea of a B-segment wagon isn't as much the stuff of fantasy as you may think - there is, or have been, the Renault Clio Estate, Skoda Fabia Combi, Seat Ibiza ST, Peugeot 207 SW and Honda Fit Shuttle, to name a few.
