The Audi Q3 compact crossover SUV has been with us for the better part of three years now. As a result, it's expected that Audi is working on a facelift to keep it fresh up against the Mercedes-Benz GLA and the BMW X1. A prototype with minimal camouflage has been photographed, presumably undergoing endurance testing.
Don't expect a raft of aesthetic changes to present themselves as the camouflage only hides what must be a reworked front and a refreshed rear. Look closely and you'll be able to see that the headlight design has been altered slightly, with the LED daytime running lights embedded into a single bar.

Judging from the photos, the facelifted Q3 could also sport a new front grille design - something along the lines of the new Audi TT, perhaps? At the back, the rear lamp clusters have a slightly different design compared to the current Q3, allowing for a more contemporary look.
Technical specifications are expected to carry over from the current-gen Audi Q3 with a possible minor upgrade in terms of engine output. With prototypes of the next-gen BMW X1 already driving about, expect Audi to pull back the covers on the refreshed Q3 by the first quarter of next year.
