This Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG Petronas Green Edition has been announced for Japan, limited to just 30 units. It's done with conjunction with the two companies' joint involvement in Formula 1, obviously. Quite an interesting looking thing, don't you think?

The Malaysian oil company's signature green colour has been splashed on both the car's exterior and interior. On the outside, it wears the full Edition 1 kit – similar to the A 45 AMG you can buy here – but with said green highlights on the front grille, air flicks, headlamps, wing mirrors and wheels.

It gets a little wilder inside, where parts of the steering wheel, shift paddles, aircon vent surrounds, gear lever, door cards and seats all adorn the bright shade. Subtle it's not, but it matches the hulk of an engine under the hood – a highly-tuned 2.0 litre turbo four with 360 hp and 450 Nm of torque.

A few options have been bundled in with the Petronas Green Edition package, among which are the carbon-fibre and aerodynamic exterior packages, 19-inch wheels and the fabulous AMG Performance seats. Too bad this little green monster is for Japan only, eh?
