The W222 Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been sighted again in Malaysia. The same grey Mercedes-Benz S400 Hybrid that we saw last month has been sighted again yesterday on a transporter on the Elite highway. Thanks to Mohammad Aiman for the pix.
We haven't heard of anywhere where the W222 was previewed yet, though it seems to be being transported around often. It hasn't been sighted at JPJ Putrajaya yet either, and Mercedes-Benz didn't have a stand at KLIMS13. We wonder if the car was showcased at the recent Mercedes-Benz STYLO Asia Fashion Week at White Box Publika.
The S400 Hybrid is powered by a 306 hp/370 Nm 3.5 litre V6 CGI engine that you will usually find in the S350 CGI, but in the S400 Hybrid it is mated to a 27 hp/250 Nm electric motor, integrated in the space between the engine and the 7G-TRONIC PLUS gearbox.
Combined fuel consumption for the S400 Hybrid is rated at just 6.3 litres per 100 km, compared to the larger V8-engined S500?s 8.6 litres per 100 km.
