Both the Porsche Cayenne and the Volkswagen Touareg have received their second generation models, which leaves the Audi Q7 as the only platform-mate that hasn't received the title all-new yet.
Perhaps it's a case of save the best for last then - from the spyshots we have here, the Q7 is set to get a big update on the front end, featuring the next generation interpretation of Audi's family grille.
The Q7 is also set to lose a lot of weight - up to 400kg is the number bandied about. Some of that weight loss could be from a reduction in size with perhaps the third row of seats being eliminated - the prototype here does look smaller and less imposing than the current generation Q7.
