These latest set of spyshots by our European spy photographers reveal some new things about the upcoming BMW X4 that we haven't seen before. Firstly is the M Sport package, which can be seen on the white car above. The M Sport features larger air intakes on the front end, compared to the normal X4.

The rear end is heavily disguised with swirly tape so we can't see what the differences are there. We also notice BMW also didn't include any 'Air Breather' vents on the X4, a design feature that has appeared on recent BMWs such as the 4-Series, the X5 and the 3 GT.

These spy shots also show us the interior of the BMW X4, which is pretty much what we expected - a carry-over of the X3's design. The X6 interior was pretty close to the X5's as well, but it included extra leg padding near the gear lever area, for more support during cornering.

There will no doubt be minor differences when you take a closer look, but we expect some of these changes to be carried over to the BMW X3 LCI when it is eventually released.

As a parting shot, here's the BMW X4 parked next to its sibling the BMW X3. They're of the same size, with the BMW X4's sloping roofline differentiating it from the X3, giving it a sportier appearance at the expense of rear legroom and luggage space.

The X4 was previewed in the form of the BMW Concept X4 at Auto Shanghai 2013. We were there at the unveiling where Harvinder recorded a walkaround video with BMW TV, check it out: VIDEO: BMW Concept X4 at Auto Shanghai 2013.
