Following an earlier announcement that the Proton Perdana Executive and Proton Inspira in the federal government's official vehicle fleet was to be replaced by the Honda Accord, Malaysiakini now reports that the government has opted instead for Proton's Perdana Replacement Model (speculative rendering by Theophilus Chin shown), which will be based on the Honda Accord.
The below KiniTV clip shows MITI deputy minister and Ledang MP Datuk Hamim Samuri revealing in Parliament that Proton has developed a replacement for its aging Perdana through its technical collaboration with Honda, and that the government would use the vehicle as its official car.
