The two cars you see here are one and the same. They are just two out of countless custom varieties of Toyota's new Camatte57s concept car that's unveiled at the Kids' Life Zone in this week's Tokyo Toy Show. Why a toy show? Because the car is all bout bringing the family together in a fun way.
It's not a toy; it's a real car. A sporty, electric-powered, open-top family-focused vehicle to be exact. It has a great range of customisation opportunities, as the body is made up of 57 small, lightweight and detachable panels than can be finished in various colours, shapes and designs.
These two variations look nothing alike but they're the same car underneath. Changing the skin to your liking can transform the car's outlook from dowdy to funky, and it is also a fun process that can be shared between parents and youngsters. It's designed to instil kids with the fun aspects of motoring from a young age.
It measures three metres long and fits three passengers. The pedals and seats can be adjusted to allow children to drive it comfortably, while an adult in the right-hand rear seat can assist or guide the young driver with steering and braking, giving children a head start to develop their driving skills safely.
