Modern MINIs have always been big on individuality and endless customisation options, and the company is still building on those traits. Earlier it announced that the MINI Countryman and Paceman can be had with ALL4 all-wheel drive system even in base Cooper form, and now even more options are introduced to really make your new maxi-MINI your own.
From July 2013 (in Europe first), both the MINI Countryman and the MINI Paceman will include new customisation options and clever details to further enhance their distinctive profiles. New sports options include the John Cooper Works Exterior, Interior and Chili packages.
Available on all models, the JCW Exterior Package comprises unique sports suspension, 18-inch wheels and a full JCW Aerodynamics Kit (new front apron, side sills and rear diffuser) if specced on a Cooper S or SD variant. Bonnet stripes and the Dark Style design option are also packaged in.
The JCW Interior Package includes sports seats with Diagonal Track fabric in JCW Black, a JCW leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons, Sport Button, Dynamic Traction Control, JCW door sill finishers and an anthracite-coloured roof liner.
Lastly, the JCW Chilli Package combines the two above with the addition of fog lamps, rain sensor, auto air con, lighting package, storage package and velour floor mats. Pick these option packs and the Chilli red paintjob becomes available to you, which is previously exclusive to the full-JCW Countryman and Paceman models.
The new storage package mentioned above adds a double cup holder in the Countryman's rear cabin. The Paceman meanwhile gains a rear centre console with integrated storage bins and a 12-volt power socket. Not as cool as the standard full-length MINI Centre Rail fitted on our local Pacemans, but just as convenient.
