It's shaping up to be a busy time for Hyundai in Europe - the company's vehicle test centre at the Nürburgring is set to open in August, and its motorsports division has just inaugurated its new headquarters in Germany. The 8,200m² building is home to the brand's World Rally Championship team, which is set to compete in the championship from 2014, with the i20 WRC its challenger.

The Hyundai Motorsport GmbH facility in Alzenau, 30 km east of Frankfurt, started full operation at the beginning of 2013, and employs 50 WRC specialists from 11 nations. It's relatively close by to the Hyundai European Technical and Design Centre located at Russelsheim and the Hyundai Motor Europe office at Offenbach.
