Suzuki will be launching its new Suzuki Ciaz - a new compact sedan in India under its Maruti Suzuki brand. The car was first previewed as the Suzuki Authentics Concept, and was later renamed to the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Concept for the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. It will replace the Suzuki SX4 Sedan in the brand's line-up.
In India, the Ciaz will come with two engines - a 95 PS, 130 Nm 1.4 litre petrol engine shared with the Suzuki Ertiga MPV, and a 1.3 litre DDiS turbodiesel engine capable of 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque. The diesel model is rated at 26.21 km per litre, which is impressive economy, while the petrol variant is claimed to be able to do 20.73 km per litre.
Do you think the Suzuki Ciaz has a chance against the Honda City and Toyota Vios in Malaysia?
