Looks like there's been some progress with the next generation Mercedes-Benz GLK prototype, as it's being sighted wearing production headlamps and tail lamps now, whereas previous sightings show a prototype that's still wearing generic lights.
The new tail lamps look similiar to those found on the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate. In fact, we won't be surprised if the GLK looks pretty much like a jacked up, beefier-looking C-Class Estate.
The new generation Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class will be offered in right hand drive for the first time, which means if and when it comes to Malaysia it will take the fight to the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5.
We're also heard that it might be renamed to GLC, in a rumoured plan by Mercedes-Benz to revamp the naming scheme for its SUVs. Since the GLA is an SUV based on the A-Class, a C-Class based SUV will become the GLC and the ML will become the GLE.
